Welcome to WhisperWood Fen

---

I have been an artist and artisan for more than forty five years, working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, ink, porcelain painting, decorative arts, leatherwork, beadwork, fiber arts and mixed media.

My studio today is a blend of traditional and modern tools. My current digital tools are Clip Studio Paint and Adobe Photoshop, and an iskn tablet. I do plan on upgrading my tablet. I sketch, draw, paint and develop my work by hand, while also using photography, extensive reference materials, and AI-assisted tools for reference, visualization, composition and creative development.

All of my original paintings, including my ACEO miniature paintings, are hand-painted by me using traditional art materials. Digital and AI-assisted tools may be part of the preliminary development or reference process, but they are not substitutes for the hand-painted original.

My digital illustrations and design work may combine drawing, painting, editing and AI-assisted elements as part of a broader creative process. Each piece is developed and refined by me to fit my own artistic vision and the worlds and characters I create, as well as my own personal style & extensive body of work..

I believe in being open about the tools in my studio without allowing the tools to define the artist.
